Itinerary

Southeastern Utah & the Moab Area

The following itineraries highlight southeastern Utah and more specifically, the Moab area. Moab is Utah's Adventure Capital. It's diversified landscape of red rock canyons, delicate sandstone spires, massive monoliths and lush alpine meadows make it a destination getaway excellent for groups or individual travelers. It is the gateway to two National Parks, a State Park, and the mighty Colorado River, and has numerous outfitters available to offer a plethora of activities. The itineraries suggested are designed to highlight the major attractions. We can easily assist you by personalizing the tours for your company. Additional overnights can be added, gateway cities can be changed and meeting the client's request can be accomplished.

Tour #1

This tour is a 4 day tour that is excellent in itself as a long weekend tour, or as an add on to another tour that your clients may already be taking.

Day 1 - Moab - Moab

  • Fly into Moab, pick up rental car, or meet the coach
  • Lunch on your own at one of the downtown area restaurants
  • Afternoon tour of the downtown shops, museums, galleries and the information center
  • Dinner in Moab (Fine dining, chuck wagon, river cruise, micro brewery)
  • OVERNIGHT IN MOAB

Day 2 - Moab - Moab

  • Morning tour of Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point via jeep or hummer
  • Afternoon tour or Arches National Park (hike to Delicate Arch or Fiery Furnace)
  • Dinner in Moab (Fine dining, chuck wagon, river cruise)
  • OVERNIGHT IN MOAB

Day 3 - Moab - Moab

  • Morning free to go mountain biking, golfing, hiking, climbing, horseback riding, additional sightseeing, or scenic flight
  • Lunch on your own
  • Afternoon rafting or jet boat trip on the Colorado River
  • Wine tasting tour of the Wineries
  • Dinner in Moab (Fine dining, chuckwagon, river cruise, micro brewery)
  • OVERNIGHT IN MOAB

Day 4 - Moab - Moab

  • Breakfast
  • Ride the Moab Skyway to the top of the Moab Rim, enjoy the scenery, hike a little, take your time to enjoy the panoramic views. Today is left free for you to do as you will based on your travel arrangements.
  • Fly out of Moab

Tour #2

This is a 6 day itinerary that begins in Las Vegas and ends in Moab. This itinerary allows the participant an opportunity to explore Utah's 5 National Parks. The route selected can also be varied to include additional stops at museums, galleries, trading post and other attractions. The gateway cities can be changed to accommodate
the traveler, or it can begin in Moab and end in Las Vegas.

Day I - Zion National Park - Springdale

  • Drive to Zion National Park and tour the Park
  • Explore the Visitor's Center
  • Go to the IMAX theatre presentation
  • Dinner and overnight in Springdale

Day 2 - Springdale - Bryce Canyon

  • Breakfast in Springdale
  • Depart for Bryce
  • Lunch at Bryce followed by an afternoon tour of Bryce National Park
  • Dinner and overnight at Bryce

Day 3 - Bryce Canyon - Monument Valley

  • Breakfast at Bryce
  • Depart for Capitol Reef and do a morning tour of Capitol Reef
  • Lunch in Hanksville
  • Depart for Monument Valley
  • Dinner and overnight in Monument Valley

Day 4 - Monument Valley - Moab

  • Breakfast in Monument Valley
  • Tour of Monument Valley
  • Lunch in Bluff or Blanding
  • Stop at Newspaper Rock and Canyon Rims area
  • Dinner and overnight in Moab

Day 5 - Moab - Moab

  • Breakfast in Moab
  • Tour Arches and Canyonlands National Park via jeep/hummer/coach or personal vehicle
  • Lunch included (unless your traveling in a personal vehicle)
  • Dinner and overnight in Moab

Day 6 - Moab - Moab

  • Breakfast in Moab
  • 1/2day mountain bike ride or 1/2day raft trip
  • Depart Moab for home or next destination

Tour #3

This tour is an 8 day circle tour that begins in Moab and ends in Moab. It includes each of the five National Parks within the state of Utah, the history of Utah from the Anasazi Indians to the Mormon settlement, and the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

Day I - Arrive in Moab

  • Spend the day traveling to Moab, Utah
  • Attend a dinner at one of the nighttime dinner/entertainment locations
  • Overnight in Moab

Day 2 - Moab - Moab

  • Morning tour of Arches National Park
  • Lunch on your own
  • Afternoon river trip or a jeep trip into Canyonlands National Park
  • Dinner in Moab
  • Overnight in Moab

Day 3 - Moab - Blanding

  • Depart for Blanding
  • Stop at Newspaper Rock and Canyon Rims Recreation Area
  • Lunch in Monticello
  • Visit the Edge of the Cedars Museum
  • Dinner and entertainment at the Nations of the Four Comers Cultural Center
  • Overnight in Blanding

Day 4 - Blanding - Grand Canyon

  • Depart for Monument Valley
  • Morning tour of Monument Valley
  • Lunch in Page
  • Depart for Grand Canyon North Rim
  • Dinner and overnight at the North Rim

Day 5 - Grand Canyon - Springdale

  • Morning tour of Grand Canyon North Rim
  • Lunch in Kanab
  • Drive to Zion National Park
  • Dinner and overnight at Zion Park Lodge or in Springdale

Day 6 - Zion National Park - Springdale

  • Morning tour of Zion National Park
  • Lunch in Springdale
  • Depart for Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Afternoon tour of Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Dinner and Overnight Bryce

Day 7 - Bryce Canyon - Moab

  • Depart for Capitol Reef National Park via Scenic Byway 12
  • Rest stop at Calf Creek Recreation Area
  • Lunch in Torrey
  • Afternoon tour of Capitol Reef National Park
  • Depart for Moab
  • Dinner and overnight in Moab

Day 8 - Moab

  • Morning tour along Hwy 128
  • Late morning time to visit the downtown area, the Visitor Center, galleries and trading post
  • Lunch in Moab
  • Travel to your next destination

Tour #4

This tour is 6 days in duration, but could be adjusted to fit the clients’ needs. It is packed with excitement, both sightseeing and doing. It includes 3 national parks, 2 state parks, 2 monuments, Indian villages, prehistoric sites and an abundance of activities. This tour could be done anytime of the year as it is set in southeastern Utah and Colorado, both of which have very mild winters.

Day 1 - Grand Junction - Moab

  • Fly into Grand Junction, Colorado and drive to Moab
  • Time of arrival in Moab will determine what, if any, activities can be done this day
  • Dinner and overnight in Moab

Day 2 - Moab

  • Morning self-driving tour of Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands National Park
  • Lunch on your own
  • Afternoon river trip, hummer tour, horseback ride, jeep trip, jetboat ride, hike, or other activity (these activities do vary with the time of year)
  • Dinner at the Chuckwagon, or on the Colorado River (these are also seasonal)
  • Overnight in Moab

Day 3 - Moab - Monticello

  • Morning self-drive tour of Arches National Park ( you will want to allow time for hiking in the park)
  • Lunch on you own
  • Afternoon depart for Monticello
  • En route stop at Newspaper Rock State Park and the Needles Overlook
  • Dinner and overnight in Monticello

Day 4- Monticello - Kayenta

  • Depart for Monument Valley
  • En route stop at the Edge of the Cedars State Park in Blanding
  • Lunch en route to Monument Valley
  • Afternoon tour of the Tribal Park
  • Overnight and dinner in Kayenta

Day 5- Kayenta - Cortez

  • Depart for Mesa Verde
  • En route you will stop at the Four Corners Monument
  • Lunch en route
  • Afternoon tour of Mesa Verde National Park
  • Dinner and overnight in Cortez

Day 6- Cortez - Grand Junction

  • Additional touring of Mesa Verde National Park or a tour of Ute Mountain Tribal Park
  • Lunch on your own
  • Drive to Grand Junction for flight home
