Event Grants - The Moab Area Travel Council will provide grant assistance to organizations to aid in the development of tourism. The purpose of the grant is to increase the level of tourism in Grand County through new or fledgling events that could become annual events. For guidelines click here.

May 2nd-June 29th	The Moab Pastel Guild Presents Lyrical Landsapes The Moab Pastel Guild will include the art from 10 local artists. The opening reception for the showing will be held May 4th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Bighorn Gallery at Dead Horse Point State Park. For more info call 435-259-2614.
May 2nd-October 17th	Moab Farmers’ Market - The Moab Farmers’ Market is every Thursday evening from 5-8pm. Fri-Sun	19	Moab Midwinter Mayhem II -Moab’s hometown roller derby league is at it again, bringing fast and furious roller derby action to southeastern Utah. More than 70 skaters from Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico will convene in Moab to compete. The all-day event will feature both women’s and coed roller derby scrimmages and will culminate in a full-length bout pitting Utah and Colorado’s best skaters against each other. Fans can catch the action, and cheer for their favorite state, on January 19, 2013 at the Old Spanish Trail Arena (3641 S. Hwy 191). Throughout the run the sun's rays illuminated snow-covered sandstone spires, creating the illusion of hot embers glowing. Thus, Moab's Red Hot 55k/33k was born. Sat	23	Mata Ortize Potter Demonstration - Mexican potter Martha Martinez and her Daughter Brenda Dominguez demonstrate traditional Mata Ortiz Pottery. Using traditional methods and techniques adapted to local Moab area clays and pigment the artist create stunning pieces of ceramic pottery. The demonstration will include sculpting, painting, and firing a pot on location at the Museum of Moab 118 E Center Street from noon until 5PM. Sat-Sun	23-24	Moab 100 & 50K - The races are held on the beautiful and rugged Monitor and Merrimac trail, 16 miles North of Moab. Racers will run 5.37 mile laps with approx. 11,000' of climbing for the entire 100 miles, and 3,500' for the 50K. Sat-Sun	23-24	24 Hours of Utah Endurance Races - This year’s races (6 Hour Nighttime Fun Run, 12-Hour, Team Relays, and Solo Challenge) will be run on the beautiful Monitor and Merrimac trail 16 miles North of Moab. Racers will run 5.37-mile laps with approximately 606' of climbing per loop. Hot food will be available during the cool night and there will be an unmanned water station approximately halfway through the loop to help runners enjoy the rugged trails and view the beautiful canyons below.
